Normally, fade ins and fade outs can be created by placing the cursor inside a clip, near the beginning or the end, and typing Cmd+ F. The same idea applies to fades and other types of edits. With Keyboard Commands Focus enabled, simply typing R or T alone will get you the same result. For example, the horizontal zoom on a track can normally be adjusted by by pressing Cmd+R or Cmd+T, for zoom out and in, respectively.
